Tulsa is an enticing city with a picturesque backdrop, relaxing atmosphere, and scenic attractions. Hundreds of famous national monuments and landmarks can be found in the beautiful city of Tulsa. Many of these landmarks use a variety of roofing techniques, be sure to look at the roof materials when you visit.

ONEOK FieldDrillers Stadium

Drillers Stadium opened in 1981 as a minor league baseball stadium. From 1981 to 2009, the Tulsa Drillers, a minor league team that played in the Texas League, played their home games here. Although the primary purpose of this stadium was to host baseball games, this stadium has also hosted monster truck rallies and concerts. If you are a big baseball fan, then you should definitely check out this historic stadium.

Big Splash Water Park

Big Splash Water Park is Tulsa’s main summer attraction and the only water park in town. Not just that, but the Big Splash Water Park is also Oklahoma’s largest and best water park. Visitors of all ages will get awesome liquid entertainment here. This water park is famous for its enormous pools, water slides, their special water roller coaster. It is a great place for tourists to spend a fun and relaxing day under the sun.

Golden Driller Landmark

Nearly 100 years ago, a new resource was discovered that would spark an industrial revolution and shape the world we live in today. The discovery of oil brought with it innovations like plastics, medicines without side effects, cars that ran on gas instead of coal or horsepower.

To honor this remarkable invention, monuments and statues are built all over our country, such as “The Golden Driller” in Tulsa, Oklahoma, which stands at 76 feet tall and is made out of cast aluminum painted gold by artists from Florida International University (FIU).

The Golden Driller is basically an enormous statue of an oil worker. This statue is the largest free-standing statue in the whole world.

The Cave House landmarkThe Cave House landmark

The Cave House is an unusual attraction in Tulsa, but once you see it for yourself, there will be no forgetting the experience. The Flinstone-esque design and color patterns are hard to miss. This privately-owned home has been attracting tourists for years who have wanted to take a tour inside and see what all of the fuss was about. Fortunately, you don’t need an appointment anymore–you just show up.

Expo Square Pavilion

The Expo Square Pavilion, formerly known as the Tulsa Fairgrounds Pavilion, is considered one of Tulsa’s most beautiful buildings. Built in 1932, it was designed by Leland I Shumway and constructed using a brick-and-terra cotta design known as PWA Art Deco style. It seats 6,311 people with its unique architecture that stands out among other similar buildings nearby.

The Pavilion is one of the landmark buildings in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and has played an important role in both architectural history as well as cultural significance. The Expo Square Pavilion has also served as a home ground for the Tulsa Oilers Central Hockey League team and Tulsa 66ers.

McFarlin Library

On the McFarlin Library, one of Tulsa’s most notable landmarks can be found at The University of Tulsa. Named after its primary benefactors Robert and Ida McFarlins, it was their request that the view of Tulsa’s Downtown from the library can not ever be blocked that caused them to donate this structure in 1929.

The library has over three million items in its possession, including some very rare editions from great writers like James Joyce. It also contains a vast array of Native American history texts that span centuries worth of research on their culture.

Took my sons here today for a tour of the famous cave house, the boys enjoyed it and I really enjoyed it as well! Linda was extremely nice and made the tour highly entertaining! I never once felt as if she was rushing us along, she took the time to go into detail and answer any questions we had. Adults are $10.00 and children under 15 are $5.00 and it's well worth the money in my opinion. The decor, the quirkiness and the history were well worth the tour! I will absolutely visit again. Thank you Linda!

There was a review posted that was negative. I did not post this review that reflected such a review. I've since changed my password. I have in fact visited and loved it very much. My only issue is that I never caught something that was posted over a year ago and would have corrected it then. This is a wonderful place and great tourist attraction. If you get a chance, check it you will enjoy it!

Stopped here on a road trip with two kids. It was a really neat experience. It needs some upkeep, and it would be nice if someone would put up a plaque explaining how it works. But I still highly enjoyed it and the kids had a blast!

A great place to perform pagan sacrifices. Grip the sharp edge of a blade, and draw your own blood. Let it drip. Let it deep into the cracks. Create little moats. Recall the hypnotic chants of the ancient one, and just chill

I had out of town company and we took the Art Deco Tunnel tour with Kelly. We saw fabulous buildings, heard great stories and learned about Tulsa. It was fun for the 16 year old boy and an 84 year old lady. I would definitely recommend and we are planning to do the church tour in the future. It was easy to set up with a phone call.

Kelly is a great tour guide and story teller. Her downtown tour was filled with beautiful architecture and so much interesting history (she answered every question from an inquisitive group). It's obvious that Kelly loves Tulsa and loves sharing her in-depth knowledge of the area. We left having made a new friend and wanting to know more about other areas of the city. Highly recommend.

I was raised up watching this movie. So I'm very glad to see that it was rescued and saved from the inevitable destruction of decay. The gift shop was very nice and clean. The staff was excellent about their products and history of the movie knowledge. The house was very clean and well put together. Brought back to as close as possible to the movie. I would definitely recommend stopping in and seeing it if you're in the area.

Great Photo of Iconic Route 66 Landmark east of Downtown Tulsa OK! This neon sign is just one of the many places along the Mother Road that you should stop to see as you travel Oklahoma's section of the original Interstate Highway. At night it has even more impact which makes for an even better photo opportunity that is just too good to pass up. This photo is actually a composite of nine pictures that are stitched together into this detailed image of a great two story neon sign that deserves it's Historical Landmark distinction.

This beautiful, green park combines the struggles of Native Americans and Black Americans. These are illustrated in plaques around the central sculpture. However this park was oddly off-putting to me. First is the dedication. This park is dedicated not to the peoples it memorialized but rather to one scholar, Dr. John Hope Franklin. Dr. Franklin’s quotes are shown outside this park along a walk along the freeway, criticizing young folks for their ignorance of history. Based on the little I read about him and his quotes, Dr. Franklin does not echo this reconciliation and hope for the Native American and Black communities. The central sculpture although creative and telling many stories, didn’t seem to be entirely coordinated with the words on the plaques surrounding it. I was left with many questions and confusion of words on the sculpture not mentioned on the plaque. I was further confused to see an image of “Hope” - another central piece of the park. The sculpture of “Hope” depicts the president of the American Red Cross who saves the Black baby he holds. But I wonder if hope truly resides with rich executives and not the Massacres survivors’ descendants. This all seems performative in the face of little reparations to the Native American and Black American communities who have been wronged so badly by the city of Tulsa. I recommend visiting and making your own judgements.

Very sobering reminder of the past. This is a beautiful park just north of ONEOK Field in downtown Tulsa. On the day I was there, the fountains weren't running but I can only imagine it adds to the peacefulness of the experience. There are plenty of places to sit and contemplate the history written on several plaques around the site. I highly recommend this park as a destination when you visit the area.

Beautiful church Downtown Tulsa is filled with beautiful art deco buildings, and this church is one of its most stunning pieces. Designed by Bruce Goff and Adah Robinson, the building’s exterior has a soaring, 15-story tower and numerous terracotta sculptures. Inside, the circular sanctuary is just as stunning, featuring the exposed pipes of a pipe organ along with a dome ceiling with stained glass at the center. Free guided tours are available Sundays at noon, and you can take a self-guided tour any time the building is open.
