Tulsa is a city that’s rich in sports culture. If you’ve always been a fan of sports and have just moved to Tulsa, I know what you’re wondering. What sports are played in Tulsa? What professional teams Tulsa has? And where can you go to watch all the games?

Tulsa has many different sports teams, and the following list will help you find sports in Tulsa if that’s what you’re looking for.

Football has been an integral part of sports in Tulsa since the early 1920s, when the city had its first professional football team. The semi-pro Tulsa Oklahoma Oilers played at Hurricane Stadium on Utica Square until 1927 when they became members of the National Football League (NFL) as the first professional sports franchise west of the Mississippi River and south of the Mason–Dixon line. From 1928 to 1931, they were renamed “Tulsa Bulldogs.” They played in the league through 1936, winning one league championship.

The Tulsa Talons were a semi-professional American football team that began as the Tulsa Oilers. The Talons played in the arenafootball2 from 2007 until 2010 when they relocated the franchise and their home stadium (BOK Center) to San Antonio.

Tulsa is home to the Tulsa Drillers baseball franchise owned by Clark/Cooper sports group. The Drillers played in the Texas League and replaced the previous team, the Tulsa Oilers (1957-1997). The Drillers play at the ONEOK field, which has an attendance capacity of 8,000 people. When it was built in 2000, it was hailed as one of the most beautiful minor league ballparks ever built.

Although minor league baseball might not be as exciting as a major league, you will still get to see some great baseball players.  And you don’t have to worry about being far away from home. The Tulsa Drillers are easily accessible with a short drive or a plane ride if you want.

The Tulsa Roughnecks is a soccer team that plays in the United Soccer League. They are not currently playing in Major League Soccer, but someday they might. The soccer team is named after roughnecks who used to work on the oil rigs. Since the Roughnecks are owned by the Tulsa Drillers, they play at their soccer-specific ONEOK Field.

The Tulsa Ruggers Rugby Football Club is a sports team that plays rugby union football in the American Rugby Premiership. They are a non-profit organization with over 400 active members and was founded in 1969. The club has teams for both men and women at several age levels, including senior, junior varsity, freshman, high school, developmental level, as well as an under 19 boys’ side. This sports team also competes internationally against other clubs from around the world.

Although rugby may be considered to be a niche sport in America, it is one of the most popular sports all over the world. If you’re looking for sports played in Tulsa, Oklahoma, this might be your thing!

The Tulsa Oilers is an ice hockey team that played in the Central Hockey League (CHL) and western Professional Hockey League (WPHL). They played at Tulsa Sports Complex from 1992 to 1996 and at the Expo Square Pavilion from 1996 to 2012. The club was founded as an original member of the WPHL in 1991.

The Oilers play in the BOK Center, which is located downtown.  This sports arena has a capacity of 8,000 sports fans. It is the home to sports in Tulsa, Oklahoma, for many different sports teams. Although hockey isn’t as popular as other sports played in Tulsa, Oklahoma, it is still fun and exciting to go watch, and you should definitely see a game or two.

As I was setting my drink in my cup holder after taking a drink an employee came and told me I needed a mask on. In the next period I was holding my drink still and was told I needed a mask on. The stands are clearly not full, there's no one with in more than 6 feet of me, except when the employee decided to get close to me to tell me to put my mask on while I was drinking. I will likely not be returning to this place, it's worth it to go to Wichita or Allen TX rather than be yelled at for not wearing a mask while taking a drink. this employee has made the event much less pleasant.

Awesome place. I have seen a handful of concerts there in years past. The building is really nice, the seating is doable. The restrooms are fantastic. There is tons of open space for venders. Staff is serious but kind. I would highly recommend going there. I truly enjoy the spot and it is very very nice.

Had a Great time with a Company Family night outing! Place was clean, neat, and a great atmosphere! Good to get out and about while keeping your distance from others. Not a Baseball fan, but learned a little tonight and enjoyed the game!

The field is super pretty & the seats aren’t too terribly uncomfortable! Sat behind the catcher & it was FANTASTIC seats!! Concessions are your usual $$, but still decent! They did not lower the net for the end of the game ball toss onto banners/hula hoops/basket.. was disappointed about that

One elevator in the parking garage didn't work but, my experience at the real estate auction, as a first time participant, was a learning process. Next year I'll be better prepared to acquire land, houses, etc.
